I absolutely loved Mrs. Sherlock Holmes. The woman was an amazing detective that knew what it meant to be a detective and a lawyer. This book seems based on facts so there are a couple of moments when I want to ask if she was getting too big of a head or thinking she could handle more than she could chew.
She was an amazing lawyer but then she started doing detective work and it grew from there. She wanted to do law for the poor without charging them an arm and a leg and doing it for what they could afford even if it was only a dollar. Then she had a change of events where she started becoming a detective and she solved a major murder/missing girl case and her name became more than just a lawyer for the poor.
She started trying to solve more cases and take on bigger fish until eventually she tried to take on too big of a fish and it tarnished her name so bad she was criticised at every turn. She had the most shocking death but her name was so unknown by that point hardly anyone knew. She is the true example of a rise and fall from grace and I will go back to read this book again someday.
Five out of Five Stars! 🙂
